The Tesla Towers

The Tesla Towers are 3 uniquely designed towers, besides the odd shaped facade, the building has special features installed in it that make it stand out from other buildings. One of the features is that the lights change colour as the time of day changes from day to night. Another special feature is the automatic shutters. During the day the building is open and the automatic shutters are open completely to let sunlight into the office building, but as night approaches the buildings sensors go off and the shutters close off most of the buildings windows. The building was created using different hexagonal sized floors on each storey, which made the shape seem odd. To get around the building there is 1  glass elevator in each of the 3 towers, and to get from one tower to another there are short bridges that connect in the centre of the tower.

Buildings used in the colaboration were Peter Eiesenmans Reinhard Haus and House Vi, and Kazuyo Sejima small house. I used Eisenmans overlapping and odd shaped designs to create my facade at the same time using Kazuyo Sejima’s small house different floor to floor size to further improve my design.
